6th grade Scientist Thai Durham Places First in states
Thai Durham did amazing at the state science fair this past week. He made history by not only being the only student from all of MAST to advance to states, but he also took home some prizes that included cash, 1st place and recognition by some pretty amazing people. It’s an amazing patent-pending project! He committed to all that I asked him to, from weekends to after school hours and more. This scientist delivered and represented MAST well; exceeding the MAST standards in which we have. Thanks to my amazing 6th grade team for your unwavering support, the administration, EESAC, PTSA and all who played an integral part in Thai’s success. We won! |
MAST Academy Students Supporting Blood Cancer Patients
Our students Sofia Navarro and Andrea Murzi and their team have raised $16,459.00 to support blood cancer patients and their families as a candidate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Each student who participated in the South Florida Market’s annual scholarship and fundraising challenge was nominated by our Board of Trustees, Leadership Team, school administrator, or staff member for their amazing leadership, passion to find a cure for blood cancers, and involvement in the community. We count ourselves lucky to have Sofia and Andrea as part of the campaign to represent MAST Academy. |
