myON Summer Reading Challenge
To avoid the summer slide, students are encouraged to read throughout the summer break. It is recommended that all students who were enrolled in grades PreK through 8 during the 2021-2022 school year participate in the 2022 myON Summer Reading Challenge to continue to promote the development of critical reading skills and instill a love for reading.
myON Summer Reading Challenge Information:
· The 2022 myON Summer Reading Challenge will run from Thursday, June 9, 2022, through Sunday, July 31, 2022.
· Students will be recognized based on all three categories:
1. Most ”Time Spent Reading”
2. Score at least 70% on “Book Quizzes”
3. Demonstrate Lexile Level Growth
· The top 10 grade-level winners (one student per grade level) will be recognized with a $50 gift certificate. Additionally, the top three district-wide myON readers will receive an Apple iPad Mini. Previous winners are not eligible to win an Apple iPad Mini.
· Please share the attached 2022 myON Summer Reading Challenge Flyer with students.
· Students do not need to register to participate in the 2022 myON Summer Reading Challenge (myON is accessible to students year-round through the Student Portal in the “Apps/Services/Sites” tab).
