The aim of this organization is to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, and to create an understanding of francophone culture and civilization.

Membership is restricted to those students actively engaged in the study of French in a secondary school and maintain a grade average of A or B in all subjects. Candidates to the French Honor Society must be enrolled in fourth semester of study of French and should plan to continue to advanced levels. Must be in French 3, AP French, AS French, or A Level French.
