MAST Academy Swim Team
Congratulations to the MAST Academy Swim team on finishing as one of the best teams in MAST history. Junior Gabriel Martinez finished 3rd in the state at the 100 Yard Butterfly Sophomore Jake Kotz-Agramonte finished 2nd in the state at the 100 Yard Freestyle The 4 x 100 relay team finished 4th in the state. & The 4 x 50 Relay team are your Class 2A STATE CHAMPIONS!!! The girls also had success in Ocala: The girls Medley Relay broke the school record. The Junior Calla Kelble broke her own MAST 100 Breast from earlier in the year as well as her 200 IM record. Congratulations to the swim team and Coach Yuni and Coach Ervin.
FHSAA State Championship
Good morning, Please join me in congratulating Freshman Ian Yanez and the rest of the Cross Country team on a spectacular season. Ian Yanez has broken the school record and participated in the FHSAA State Championship this past weekend, where he finished ranked 67th in the whole state. Congratulations to Chief Joseph and Coach Soto on a wonderful season. GO MAKOS!!
"Me Gusta el Español" Contest
Gracias for your kind words and recognition. We are truly honored that our school has been invited to participate in the "Me Gusta el Español" contest, especially considering the prestigious nature of the competition. Ms. Cianferoni, Ms. Fernandez, and I are excited to work with our students on this incredible opportunity. Hispanic Heritage Month "Honoring Hispanic Contributions to Florida's Success" Poster Contest
The Department of Food and Nutrition received approximately 300 student poster entries from across the district illustrating the celebration of Hispanic Heritage month while incorporating food for this year's theme "Honoring Hispanic Contributions to Florida's Success". I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Once again, we’ve achieved remarkable success! A special congratulations to Gabriella Lopez for her outstanding achievement in winning the high school division. A big thank you also goes to Mr. Lacayo for his unwavering support and leadership in guiding our students through their artistic pursuits. Lions Club Peace Poster competition

FHSAA State Championship
Please help me congratulate Mr. Wood and the Boys Golf Team. I am thrilled to extend my sincerest congratulations on their incredible performance at the FHSAA State Championship! Finishing 11th in the State out of 130 teams is a phenomenal accomplishment and the furthest our school has ever advanced in its history. To Boris Friend, Iñigo Friend, Alfonso Goyeneche, Cipriano Montoya, and Christian Rodríguez: their dedication, skill, and teamwork have not only brought pride to themselves but also to our entire school community. Having all five of them finish as top individual golfers in the State is truly remarkable and speaks to the strength and unity of this team. Mr. Wood, your leadership and mentorship have undoubtedly been instrumental in guiding the team to this historic success. "Guiding Hands, Creative Minds” exhibition
I am happy to announce that five of our students were selected to participate in the “Guiding Hands, Creative Minds” exhibition. This is an especial exhibition of artworks featuring students and their art teacher. The work will be on view at Barry University, Andy Gato Gallery, 11300 NE 2nd Ave. Miami Shores, Fl. 33161, Oct. 28-Nov. 19, 2024. GMAC Championship tournament
I’m thrilled to share some incredible achievements from the recent GMAC Championship tournament! Our boys’ golf team, led by Coach Wood, finished in an impressive 2nd place, with senior Alfonso Goyeneche winning the overall individual championship – an outstanding accomplishment! Additionally, our boys’ and girls’ swim teams, under the guidance of Coach Yuniel and Coach Ervin, also earned a strong 2nd place finish. Special highlights include Peter Roca winning 1st place in the 200IM, Gabriel Martinez taking 1st in the 100 butterfly, and Liam Lesentier capturing 1st in the 100 backstroke. Please join me in congratulating these dedicated athletes and their coaches for representing our school with excellence.
