The MAST Mindfulness Club seeks to serve all students of MAST interested in learning more about clarity, self awareness, and being present. We provide assistance in the practice of mindful walks on the beach, breathwork practices, meditation, and stress relief. Students are welcome to join our sessions where they can learn meditation techniques and discuss healthy methods of self care to establish connections and facilitate conversations. We will introduce guest speakers, offer community service, and hold workshops on topics like mental health and stress to bring conscious awareness to the health of ourselves and others. By paying close attention to our mind, body, and environment within each morning practice session, Mindfulness Club members are ready to tackle the upcoming school day. MAST Faculty, Administrators, and Middle Schoolers (with sponsor permission) are welcome to join our practice of mindful moments. Students can practice mindfulness to understand that stress is a natural response to a challenge, pay attention to their thoughts and emotions with kindness, and transforming anxiety into actions they can take to overcome the challenge.
