Ms. Karla Cortes, LMHC, NCC

Welcome Makos! This is Ms. Karla Cortes, High School Counselor for 9th and 10th grade students.

I studied at Florida International University and received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I studied at Albizu University (formerly called Carlos Albizu University), where I attained 2 Masters Degrees: one in School Counseling and the other in Mental Health Counseling. I am also a Licensed Clinician within the state of FL. I was a former mental health/SA therapist for approximately 8 years and currently working at MAST Academy for my 4th year- looking forward to meeting incoming as well as promoted students.

I am excited to share we have polished academic curriculums, new staff and personnel that is ready to provide top-notch information to the students at MAST Academy.
